Meeting Minutes

January 13, 2024

We gathered in Helm 302 and the meeting was called to order at 10:05am by Dan Dorsett, filling in for Chapter Director Jim Ware who was away.

In attendance: C.B. Baize, Lyon Bradbury, Bode Brooks, Len Cox, Dan Dorsett, Guy Ellis, Maner Ferguson, Bill Foley, Jesus Garcia, Rev. Charles Halton, John Halton, Rod Heard, Addison Hosea, Ken Kikuchi, and Bob Voll. We enjoyed assorted donuts contributed by Bill Foley, and coffee.

Our Bible study was moved to the first half of the hour due to Rev. Charles’ commitment at 10:30 to another event. The text was Mark 1:4-11, using both the NRSV and The Message versions. We are so grateful for Charles’ leadership and insight in these discussions.

Regular business followed and Len Cox reported that the Brotherhood is scheduled to serve breakfast on February 18 and March 24, Palm Sunday.

Dan reported that we currently have $971.68 available to spend on projects in the Brotherhood account at Christ Church Cathedral. As of December 31 the office had received dues from 12 brothers including additional donations from 9. The office will continue to accumulate dues through January and send a check to the national office the week of January 29.

Next meeting: February 10, 2024.

Following the closing sequence in our handbook, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45am and was followed by additional social time conversation. Great fellowship!
