Meeting Minutes
May 14, 2022

Gathering began shortly before 10:00am on the cottage patio at the Old Episcopal Burying Ground (OEBG). The meeting was called to order at 10:05am by Jim Ware. In attendance: CB Baize, Lyon Bradbury, Len Cox, Tom Crehore, Dan Dorsett, Guy Ellis, Maner Ferguson, Bill Foley, Rev. Charles Halton, John Halton, Loys Mather, Sky Robinson, Wendell Snyder, and Jim Ware.

Jim led a discussion about upcoming events and opportunities: Bishop Mark’s seating will take place on June 5 at 4:00pm at the Cathedral

There will be a reception after the service and help will be needed for cleanup

Len spoke to the potential need for vaccination clinics in the fall. Suggested we host a Saturday clinic for those who are unable to attend on a weekday.

Guy reported that some trimming will be needed soon at the OEBG.

In Bob Voll’s absence others reported on the presentation Bob gave to Vestry a few days earlier regarding a new headstone planned for London and Rhoda Ferrell. The former stone was relocated to First African Baptist Church. The new stone will be a replica and the fence along Elm Tree Lane will be relocated to include their graves.

Treasurer Dan reported that our chapter has approximately $200 available to spend. Len reminded us that we can make contributions to the Brotherhood account, including adding on to the check we submit for dues for those who pay dues through CCC

Fr. Charles led us in study of John 14:22-29, using both NRSV and The Message versions.

Next meeting: 10:00am June 11, 2022.
