Meeting Minutes
April 11, 2022

Gathering began shortly before 10:00am in Helm 302 at CCC. The meeting was called to order at 10:10am by Jim Ware. In attendance: CB Baize, Lyon Bradbury, Len Cox, Tom Crehore, Dan Dorsett, Guy Ellis, Maner Ferguson, John Halton, Addison Hosea, Loys Mather, Paul Roscoe, Wendell Snyder, Gary Stewart, Bill Swinford, Bob Voll, Jim Ware, and Bill Woodward.

Jim led discussion of upcoming Brotherhood activities:
The Brotherhood will assist with Easter Brunch on April 17 which is being coordinated by Bill and Elizabeth Woodward.

A draft plan was circulated. Some food preparation will begin on Saturday in the kitchen in addition to room setup. Cooking on Sunday morning will begin at 7am.

Per the cathedral’s Covid protocol there will be no self-serve buffet line. Rather, one will go through the line with a plate to be served by our team of servers.

Upcoming events include the BUILD Nehemiah meeting at Central Bank Center on May 3.

CCC joined BUILD in March of this year as one of 27 faith communities advocating for a better Lexington. Major issues to be discussed are crime and violence, affordable housing, and mental health.

Jim led us in study of this week’s Gospel, Luke 23:1-49, using both NRSV and The Message versions.

Next meeting: 10:00am May 14, 2022.
